Twenty years was not enough good behaviour and he will be out in 9 or 10 as is normal in the UK.
More worrying than his GF making that statement to the Mail newspaper is the fact that they printed it.
Anyone who uses a gun deserves a very long sentence, however I wonder how they made a murder charge stick as he did not intend to shoot Rhys in the TV appeal by the police at the time of the killing the investigating officer actually said on live TV in appealing for the killer to come forward "We don't believe you intended to kill Rhys so please come forward" It's a bit strange how they made it stick.
Not that I am defending him he was carrying a gun with the intent to use it it should have been at least 50 years in jail.
Anyway it was a bad situation all round and unfortunately it is likely to happen again unless they can stamp out this "gang" culture in the UK.
