OK so here is the story
About two months ago I had a throat infection, which turned into a bad cold. Felt like I had a lump of phlegm in my throat that I couldn't get out. So I went to the doctor, and she prescribed Amoxicillan(sp?). This took the throat pain away immediately..I kept taking it for a few days(was supposed to take 3 a day for 10 days)..but I stopped short of finishing them.
A few days ago I felt the same symptoms return...bad sore throat, feels like there is that lump there. Also, the upper back of my neck is super sore on both sides. I have a feeling it may have returned because I didn't take the pills as I was supposed to..I know I know...
So the pain is unbearable, and I decided to take one of the pills I still had. Whether or not this was a good idea I don't know...but a little while after taking it I was able to cough up some phlegm...only problem is it was bloody
I am super worried about this and hope that the blood is only from an infection in the throat and not something more serious.
Seeing a Dr. in the morning, but any immediate help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated!! This is really freaking me out:wtf:
