Well the reason why I asked about the cooling is I have 2 cabinets/tents that I use, 1 is bought and other I built. The built 1 has a 400w cooltube and have no heat issues what so ever. The other is a 400w "affordable" light from HTG Supply. Now the homemade tent has been heat issues from day 1. Currently have 2 4in inline fans exhausting heat and when light is on I cannot close the flaps completly or temps skyrocket. I have 1 fan set to run only with light and other runs 24/7. Currently have 4 1 1/2in intake holes for air but obviously thats not enough so will be making a few more. Hope sharing my misfortunes will help keep you from getting atleast 1 migrain!! I will never use another light without being able to hook up a cooling duct to it.

Which size grow tent would best be sutible for a 400w hps light? hi, i just ordered a 400w hps light along with fox farm ocean forest soil and foxfarm s 3 pack nutes and a 10 pack of 2 gallon grow bags, also a 4" inline duct fan. I am going to get a grow tent but am debating on 2 sizes. with a 400w hps, would i be happier with a 4x2x5 or a 4x4x6.5 grow tent? i will be using the 4" inline duct fan to ventilate the tent when i order it.
