White rhino smell problem!

Hi all, i have a small closet grow with 2 white rhino going right now, that i vegged for 4 wks and yesterday put to flowering. My problem is, the walkin closet i'm using is in my spare bedroom and even at 3 wks in veg, it smelled like i ran over a skunk! In the closet, i have a homemade tent, i made with a tarp, and have a big fan with carbon scrubber, venting the hot air thru the cooltube and out the top, into the closet and it has a low passive intake. What else can i do to mask the smell, cause in a month or so, my gfs parents are coming out to visit, and will be staying in that bedroom? lol. Btw, i also got one of those air purifiers that plug into an outlet, that i have going in the bedroom, and still i smell skunk! This is my 1st time growing the rhino, is this gonna be even more of a problem, once they start flowering??? Please give me any advice on whats my best bet at least for that wk that they come and visit. Taking them to a friends house, isn't an option, since i just moved cross the country, and dont know anyone here yet. ;-)

On a side note, what is another potent, quick flowering, large yielding, NON SMELLY strain i can switch to next???

Your growing weed man...its going to be smelly! I would highly discourage you having your gf's parents stay there with a grow going on if they do not like weed. When they flower your house will reek even more most likely and if they are staying in that room they will smell it for sure. You don't want them getting pissed and calling the cops on you because you would get in a mess of trouble, unless you are a card holder then you should be cool....maybe :wtf:. Local police could screw you over and make it look like you were selling to others or they could take your plants, you will go to court and get proven innocent under prop 215 either could happen. So in conclusion if the parents aren't cool with pot, then its not cool to have them stay in a room where you are growing it :thumbsup:. Hope I helped.

lol. I know i know! I'm just trying to limit the smell as much as possible. This crop should be done by the time they visit, but i'll have either clones or some in veg at that time. I think the best bet may be to temporarily make a some cabs out of 50gal outdoor plastic trash cans and put em in my garage, with some cfls for that week. lol. I'll have em in 5 gal dwc's, so they shud be ok for the wk, and maybe i'll just throw some boxes and stuff on top of em. :-/

Any advice on a less smelly strain that fits the criteria i mentioned in the 1st post??? ;-)

I grew some Lemon Skunk (breeder Jordan) that was very low odor. I hear a lot people recommend NL#5 also. Both are short sturdy easy to grow varieties that yield well and are potent, assuming good growing conditions.

well OP didnt grow lemon skunk so they got a bit of a delima on hand. Ozone generators or Carbon scubbers w/ high power fan is your best bet. IMO if your trying to grow cheap without popper preparations your wasting your time & might as well not bother. If your risking a few years in jail to begin with you may as well do it right. How close is your nearest neighbors, will they be a problem? Always Think before you act! & :rastasmoke:

Hey oldblue, I have a suggestion that worked VERY well for me. I bought one of those room ionozers, the tower style ones, and put it in the bedroom since I grow in my bedroom closet. No smell outside of that room unless I opened the door. Next I tried putting it in the closet with the plants while they flowered. The pot looked the same and was every bit as powerful but there was no smell to the pot whatsoever. Even kept it in the room when I dried it and the result was dried product with no smell at all. It kind of smelled like hay but rocked ur balls off. I can't guarentee that it will work for the strain ur growing but it might be worth trying for ur set up.

if you dont want to use a carbon scrubber.. get a vaportek optimum 4000 with the lemon cartridge.. problem solved
