DWC Overwater??? Plants droopy.
Hi, I have 12 clones at around the 6-8" range, and they were happily growing under 200w of 6500k CFL tubes, and then one day I decided they could use some more light and placed them under a 600w MH (about 2'-3' away, I put the lamp vertically so I figured I didnt need to go back any further since the light was not concentrated on them by the use of a hood).
Anyhow, they started to droop really bad, so I put them back under the CFL's.
2 days later, and they are still drooping. When I moved them, I changed the water with 800ppm of 1-1-1 ratio of GH nutes, ph is at 5.8, air temps high 70's, water temps low 70's, air stones in 10, 18 gal rubbermaids, 18/6 lights... Everything seemed good. I did notice that the two plants I have in 5 gal buckets with the 10" netpot are not effected by the drooping (maybe because they have more air and are not drowning like their rubbermaid counterparts)
Lastly, the water level was about 3-4 inches below the 3.75" netpots, the bottom of the hydroton was not getting wet, so I raised the water level to 2" of hydroton since the bucket with that water level showed new pearly roots as opposed to the few long stringy roots that the other plants had.
Any help, please?
Much thanks in advance.MaryJaneMonkey Reviewed by MaryJaneMonkey on . DWC Overwater??? Plants droopy.
