I don't know about that article... they mention marijuana but they also want every other drug legalized. Marijuana NEEDS to be legalized because it is safer then 2 substances, tobacco and alcohol, that are already legal and weed is much less harmful. I don't want all the drugs legalized... they ruin lives and turn you into a lifeless junkie. In fact, my family friend died 3 days ago because of a heroin overdose. There is nothing good about those drugs.

I agree that all drugs should be legalized. I would rather deal with addicts through addiction centers rather than waste my tax dollars on prisons. Addicts are going to get there drugs no matter what anyway. I would rather it be a controlled enviorment rather than an uncontrolled.

Grow your own weed, don't fuel the war. Freedom of choice. Not forced societal values designed to keep people in bondage.

I'm with Vermin, every word. Crack, heroin..etc has direct impact on those around them especially meth and oxy. Every day people are robbed, beated and killed by zombies doing whatever they think will get them another score. Those type substances are known to destroy different parts of the brain, mostly the area that contains empathy, remorse, understanding of accountability, etc. While living in Atl I cant tell you how many times I saw some crazed bug-eyed psycho trying to run someone off the road and then it finally hit close to home when a good friend was gunned down with an AK and then finished off with a 9mm to the face by one of his best workers AT WORK that he knew since they were shitting diapers together. METH was the catylist for that. And nobody is immune to the effects this type of drug imposes. I totally respect others oppinions but I honestly believe those that think these type of drugs should be "legalized" have not done enough researched and/or Thankfully have not been directly impacted in such a way as I or Linearvermin has. I think there has to be a more effective way to handle those drugs than legalizing. Govt will always have their heads up their asses when it comes to "common sense" policy. In addition to alcohol and cigs that any kid can get a hold of whenever they wanted, they can also go to the grocery and essentially get morphine. Anyone can go to the nursery and order as many popy plants as they want and go brew a wide variety of opiates- the most addictive substance on the planet yet totally legal. Bettter to get rid of that harmless ditch weed and control and cage those that pick from it. Just my rant:hippy: Duffy
I love when my pocket smells like a skunk shit a jolly rancher on a pine tree.
Close the window, your\'e lett in\' the stank out!
Oohhhh, boom goes the dynamite!

There are no drugs more dangerous than tobacco and alcohol but we realize and our experience shows that through prohibitionist policies we make both of these substances more dangerous and thugs more wealthy. The same applies to every other recreational drug out there, including cannabis, heroin, cocaine and speed.

There is nothing good about those drugs as there is nothing good about McDonalds french fries. Do you know how many people die from obesity related diseases and malnourishment? If you're overweight, are you saying the government should control your diet because you're harming yourself? I agree people shouldn't use heroin and coke, but you cannot make social change through laws.

Its a touchy suject. Yeah I agree theres no way a plant should be illegal. On that same note cocaine and all opiates come from plants. So they should be used like MM in cali. If you have a legiate reason for the substance ie pain, laziness, obesity. Maybe those things could help. As far as stuff made in a bath tub or a red neck lab they can stay illegal. I believe anyone should be allowed to put whatever they want in there body as long as they dont hurt anyone else. Which makes my last to sentances kinda hypocritical. So I just wouldnt vote yes or no if it ever got on a ballot. Whatever the out come would be, so be it. Ill keep smokin grass!
