    Regulating Drip Flow

    Hi ..
I have a 2x3 sea of green tray with 20 pods ... i have drippers installed in each netpot but when i try to regulate the flow of water to a drip i can only get a few dripping at right rate ..some are to fast and others are not dripping at all..
is there a rule of thumb for gph? do you regulate the 1/2" tube leaving the pump or regulate each dripper?. many thanx

    Regulating Drip Flow

If you have drip emmitters then the pressure should be on the whole system. Sounds like not enough pressure. How ever if you are just dripping out of 1/4 inch lines then you won't be able to control it with out getting some 1/4 inch cutoff valves. They sell them at Slowes or the Depot home or any place that sells irragation supllies. One on each line and then you can control the flow on each line the way you like.

By the way in a sea of green where plants are at different stages of life, How do you flush just the ones that are readdy to harvest ?

    Regulating Drip Flow

Loc nar: Do you really need a steady drip or can they spit water at high flow rates? I just realized my pump is flowing way too much water(rated at 250gph I believe).

I'm going to have the same problem in my hydro with plants at different stages. I plan on cutting the top off milk jugs, place the roots in there with a gallon of straight water, and an air stone. Got the idea after making a filter for my water pump out of a milk jug and piece of foam. I should make a DIY thread, with how easy it was, and no more clogged drippers
