Can you use a 4000k light for growing?
So, can you use a 4000k light for growing? Or is that spectrum not suitable for growing?

Can you use a 4000k light for growing?
That is pretty much a medium temp you are asking about. 400w HPS light runs about 2100k and that can be used for both vegging and flower but better for flower. 4000k is about in the middle as I have 6500k cfl's for seedlings and starting veg process. hope that helps

Can you use a 4000k light for growing?
Thanks TinyToon....
But i think i did ask the question in a wrong way....
I meant to ask if a 4000k light, in general(veg and flower), is any good for growing pot...i have read somewhere that the 4k lights are in that spectrum which the plants can't absorb....basically the plant can't use that wavelength - it's not in the red(flower) or in the blue(veg) spectrum....it's in-between....
So, can i use a 4000k light, or is it useless - because the plant can't absorb it for photosynthesis??
