    confused about options.

I have so many questions about MMJ i do not know where to begin.
I started smoking weed 1n 1965 and enjoyed the 60s and 70s like no other time in my life. I am still living in that frame of mind to this day. Still a HIPPY. Now, I am 55 years old and I have hepatitis c and early stage cirrhosis of liver. I have a list of symptoms, meds (all liver toxic) and med test results, med visits, etc. I am not worried about qualifying for a recommendation.

My big obstacle (seems insurmoountable) is that I am on methadone for opiate addiction for close to 30 years - clean 99.9% of that time. My dose is 125 / day. I would love to be free of it. If anyone has advice on that topic, please write.

I pick up meth once every 14 days, a privelege, not a right.

    Does anyone know?

realistic way to detox from 125 mg meth confortably?
Do people get arrested for buying cannabis seeds throiugh the mail order outlets?

I'll be back and I want to make friends here.

In the 1800s, cannabis was frequently used to get addicts off of their addiction. There is a thread about using cannabis in this way over at another site.......

opiate withdrawals and pot - Grasscity.com Forums

There were a couple of dudes posting that had first-hand experience. They said it helps.

Suboxone from your doctor (I'm shocked he hasn't suggested this yet after SO much time!) and pot from your garden.

My best friend, who freed himself from a decade-long opiate habit, and HATED methadone, is now successfully using a low dose of suboxone with cannabis for the lasting side effects of the opiates. Knowing his experiences getting clean, it seems like you should at least look into suboxone treatment. Cannabis is also a time-honored way to get off opiates. There are countless anecdotal accounts of GIs returning from Viet Nam with heroin problems, or PTSD that led to them developing heroin problems, and then later getting clean by smoking themselves into oblivion to get past being dope-sick.

Best of luck to you and I will see you in the growing section!

It's not that bad to cold turkey off opiates. Didn't sleep for about a week. My Dr. gave me oxy for 4 years due to knee injury. then he says pee here and it'll only cost $300 for test, I said FU, and limped out. He knew I didn't have the 300.

I never got really sick like those made-for-TV movies(Lady Sings the Blues etc.). I was jonesing for couple weeks. Weed helps TONS. Pain and withdrawal symptoms.

But I still hurt, so would I take oxy if it were available?. yup.

Can I SURVIVE on weed only for pain?.....I have for 2 years....

I can't tell you how encouraging your note is to me I am starting to detox off methadone right now (I take my meds at 2:00 AM). I am goimg to cut back somewhere around 10 mg every few days. I feel free already with this shift in my perception of my situation. ALso, I feel like I am no longer under the thumb of my meth clinic.I am already free because I am free in my mind!!!

    Thank you sooo much.:hippy:
