    Effective hypnotists share the belief that we respond to our map or reality and not reality itself. If you get a good idea of the structure of someones map and you have effective communication skills for getting what you want then you can change those maps.

    And im sure its so, because we never interact with the reality itself, but only with what our very limited senses, our perception and our conditionings filters from the reality.
    In our usual waking/sober state we are only able to percieve the map, and so we act based upon it. (In fact, its very hard to percieve the reality itself... usually it requires a lot of experience in meditation, a mystical experience or the use of strong psychedelics.)
