    pH Question

Hello all, I have a quick question for you all. If i'm using earth juice to bring up the pH of my water/nute water, why would it take 4-5x as much to raise it from a 6.0 to 6.6 when there are nutes in the water as well. For example, distilled water + CalMg = pH of 6.0 and takes an extremely small amount of earth juice to bring it up to 6.6 (like 1/2 of 1/10 of a tsp diluted in pH 6.0 water to make a 24 oz solution of pH 7.0, it takes like 2 oz). But when nutes are added (FF Big Bloom and Grow Big) i need 8 oz+ to bring it up to 6.6. Is this normal? Thanks for the help ahead of time

    pH Question

I use GH's ph down for water that's 8.0 or so out of the tap, (phosphoric acid) and I use Fox Farms. When adjusting my nute water solution, I add the Fox Farms first, then add as much ph down as necessary to reach a 6.7 or 6.8 ph. When adjusting for plain watering (no nutes) it takes twice as much ph down.
Moral of the story: the nutes bring the ph down further.

Do you use the Fox Farms feeding schedule they have online? Tiz a pretty good chart, but I've gone half-strength with their Big Bloom (thru veg and bloom) for a while now with improved results.
