"Hairs" can be lots of colors. The norm is off white to start off, then turn brown as the plant matures, BUT this isn't always the case. You can have a plant that has white pistols for its entire life cycle.

So the answer is yes, this is common. Just an FYI, even if the hairs are white when you harvest, MOST of the time, if not always they will turn brown or whatever while hanging/drying/curing. I'm not IR, but I speak the truth.

The color of the pistols doesn't always follow the rules of, well as the plant matures they will turn brown gradually. So, you have nothing to worry about, trichomes determine harvest time. :stoned:
