NEED AN ANSWER TO AN IMPORTANT QUESTION PLEASE
ive been lurkin and reading my a$$ off at this site and i came across a few threads they talked about cuttin the tops of the plants and leavin the bottoms to fill out some more then harvesting that too. NOW MY QUESTION IS (bcuz ive thought bot it and cant seem to find a rational answer, HENCE me posting the question) if you cut the tops off of the plant(to harvest) bcuz its "finished" to let the bottom grow some more, how do you flush the tops or colas? i mean dont you have to flush the whole plant? if you cut the tops how are they flushed? wont they still have the nutes from not bein flushed properly? i know this might be a lil long but this is the only way i can find an answer to my question. PLEASE let me know if this is confusing. THANX FOR ALL YOU GUYS, AND GIRLS, DO to help ppl like us.

Flush before you chop the top, the bottom will be fine until you cut it. I like to let my gals get one foot in the grave before I finish them off.
Or....
You could give them a small dose of nutes after you chop the top, then flush the next week but IDK if they would do anything for ya.

If you do a selective harvest...watch for nanners. If it's an unstable strain it may give you some shit for chopping her head off.
Also, if it's a hollow-stemmed strain, careful with the wound. Best to cut it at an angle, so it won't collect water, dust, soil, bugs... I've heard of some folks using candle wax to seal the wounds, but I am lazy, and just try to be careful till they are healed. If it's a pithy stem strain, just keep the would clean and dry till healed in a couple of days.
I takes a week or two for her to recover and continue growing again. Overferting her will add more stress, but giving no nutes can delay the recovery time and slow the new growth.
There's a couple of links in my signature regarding re-veg and bonsai techniques if interested.
