    Autoflowering

What can you guys tell me about auto-flowering plants? I hear that they are a waste of $, are not very potent, and have a poor yield. But then again i hear that they can put out some real dank bud if you baby them. I was looking to get some auto-flowering lowryders for my indoor grow this winter, such as blueryder (masterlow X blueberry), or some dieselryder (New York City Diesel x Lowryder #2).I was looking into them because they grow fast and are rather small, are there other options out there? I was just wondering what more experienced growers and tokers thought. Thanks a lot.

    Autoflowering

Hi, I am experimenting with autoflowering strains this winter.I am on a mission find a "perfect" AF strain that I can grow and keep me supplied with fresh budd year round.
I am just finishing up a grow of auto ak-47. Out of seven seeds all popped three males and four ladies. One of the males was a runt and grew to maybe 4 inches. I ended up with two distinct phenos in the girls. I think I will finish up with 2-4 ounces when they finish up. I also have a grow going that is a month old of diesel ryder. All 7 of those popped too but three 2 males and a female looked and grew great for three weeks and then just died not sure why. They are about 6 inches tall now.
I also am just starting some white dwarf which is suppose to be a bigger autoflowering strain they claim it grows for two months and then flowers.
I am awaiting an order of Sour Bubbleryder which isn't yet stablized for AFs.

It sounds like we have the same goals. A really easy plat to take care of and at the same time get a decent amount of bud, just for personal use. Wow thats exciting to think that you will get 2-4 Z's from just 4 little ladies. Sorry about the diesel rider, better luck next time. I hear that they have really tough seeds, and that once they germinate it gets easier. I don't know thats just what i heard. Sour Bubbleryder..... That must be (Sour Diesel X Bubble Hash X Lowryder) ??

I like to grow outside during the spring and summer but without growing an orchard full it rarely lasts me from one harvest to the next so......
Here is the description of the Sour Bubbleryder:
"Okay this is an offering into the future of my next auto-flowering hybrid, Sour BubbleRyder. A large Diesalryder Female, was crossed with pollen from a Sour Bubble Bx4 "purple" pheno Male. Three keeper Females (one pictured) from that resulting prodigny were then crossed with pollen from a medium sized Master Low Male, so the break-down is Diesalryder/Sour Bubble bx4 X Master Low . Now at this point I shouldnt even let anyone try these yet. However due to the high powered nature of Sour Bubble, I thought it would be nice to only offer a few packs to the public. This is a one time thing and they will not be offered again for about another 6 months, or until the hybrid is completely stableized. So in my quest to offer the very best auto-flowering hybrids, this should provide some incredible tasting smoke. Auto-flowering % is unknown, but Id say 50% at least should AF

damn, that sour bubbleryder sounds nice! let us know how it is luna!

i haven't messed with AF strains yet, but i would like too. i've read for the lowryder#2 x AK47 get about 17-19 inches and yields ~28-42 grams. i don't see any reason you couldn't play with LST or ScROG and possible increase that!

LST=low stress training; bending the plant over ~90 degrees and then continually running it around in a circular pattern to force the branches to start growing up producing many more budding sites.

SOG=sea of green; the method of taking freshly rooted clones and (for the most part i believe) putting them straight into flower. the concept is to keep a nice even canopy for efficency. you harvest many small plants instead of a few large ones. best when used with a perpetual harvest.

ScROG=screen of green, a derivative of the SOG method in which you grow the plant to a screen (chicken wire etc) set at a predetermined height. you use the screen to "run" the plants branches, weaving them in and out of the screen, using the technique to give the most light to budding sites.

sorry of my definitions are not precise. i'm a noob!

Hi, I don't think LST'ing is all that productive when it comes to the AF's.
