When does everyone pick their mother plants?

I have a lot of different varieties under veg right now. Started all of them from seed. I want one mother of each strain

Does anyone take clones during flowering? Say if you find one that is an exceptional bloomer or something different. Should is just keep one of each in veg and go from there?

What comes first the mom or the great exceptional strain? :thumbsup:

There's a cloning link in my siggy that is actually part of a grow log in which I go over the selection of a mother, cloning for sex, and evaluating vigor. It's a good read, I think!

Thanks Stinky - that's a great post.

Basically it's all about covering you back and have clones ready to go just in case a good pheno pops up.
