i will be makin an appointment with meddican in san francisco shortly but first i need to know this.

is it really confidential?
i am living with my parents again right now and i really WOULDNT like to recieve stuff in the mail about medicann or anything related to cannabis use in general.
they are pretty oldschool and have no idea of my cannabis use.

my question are : Do they ever send anything home besides the Card?

Is there any way of picking up the card instead of it being sent home?

will it ever show on any of my records? my parents are the ones that have all my medical stuff. would they ever be able to find out?
its not like they are suspicious or anything like that bcs they have no idea but wil it ever show that i am a cannabis user anywhere else besides the card?

i hope you guys understand what im trying to ask.

What would your parents think if you said them youre using cannabis because the doctor recommended it, and even gave you a card?

Oh yes! They WILL find out! You will slip up eventually, somehow. Whether you are hiding it from parents or your kids- they eventually figure it out, or catch you in the act! Smelly secrets are hard to keep! (You might consider a vaporizer- they smell a lot less!)

Like Coelho said, you do have a doctor's recommendation! And you might find supporting studies for the use of cannabis with your condition in my list (link is below). It's one thing to SAY "cannabis helps my ___". It's totally another when you have several scientific studies backing you up. :thumbsup:

And as you are looking at the list for studies for your medical problems, keep an eye out for any of THEIR medical problems. The bottom, "Master list" link is to a very small and "innocent" MMJ site and has a few more studies than the list at this site.

As for your question- I KNOW several folks have gotten their cards from there, so you should have an answer soon.

I have my card thru medicann, I asked if i could pick it up and not have it mailed to my friends house. They said no problem and it seemed like a normal request to them! good luck!

i mean i have been smokin already for 3 or 4 years.
im not worried about them catching me in the act or slippin outta my mouth.
i just want to know if it will show on any of my medical records.

well lets say i have an accident and crash.
i am taken to da ER and my family is there all worried and sh**.
the doctor comes out and asks to talk to my family.
he has a folder with my medical history.
will anything show up on there or is it really that confidential that they need my permission to be able to put it there?
how does it work?

No they will never know unless you take your card to your primary health care provider and let them put the mj info into the record your parents have access too. keep them completely separate and theyll never know. Oh and you can get away with it as long as your not a moron. You might wanna think about moving out!

Mannn, you should really just not deceive your parents. It's just not healthy. If you're that worried about it, maybe you shouldn't be smoking in the first place. Am I the only one here with some morals?
