    Goldschlagers of the World Unite!

So I finally got around to organizing the pictures on my computer and I came across this beauty, a family portrait of Gen 6 & 7 of the proud Goldschlager Dynasty. What once started out as a simple bong with slide (1st Gen) has evolved into a double ash catch defused frankenbong (7th Gen), dubbed "the molecule" for it's uncanny scientific resemblance.

    Goldschlager Curse
As an unfortunate side note, I've found that Goldschlager bongs fall victim to a vicious and long lasting curse. Whether it stems from it's weighted cost to performance ratio (cheap/amazing) or some other as-of-yet unidentified cause I am not yet certain. Alas, it seems the natural world is not ready for the goldschlager bong. All have fallen victim to this curse, and all have suffered a variety of unpleasant events. All, that is, except the 7th Gen. who was relegated to an unused drawer far from human hands following a near disastrous accident.

    In the pic-

Travelocity: a compact, portable bong for the stoner on the go

    I love my Goldschlager bong.

Its nothing as complex as yours as the moment, because it was initially a MacGuyver peice that was used as a temporary stop-gap measure for the lack of a bong issue that arose... but its still pretty nice.

Always an eye catcher too, I get comments about it every time I smoke out of it with someone new.

Yours are very nice though, some damn fine work. And the extra effort to place proper stems and slides in it really add to the quality look.

Trust me, the only reason they have gotten so complex is that every time one is destroyed, I somehow talk myself into upgrading my next attempt. Once you get caught in this cycle, there's just not stopping. The slide becomes glass-on-glass, the downstem adds a diffusor, the bowl becomes an ashcatch then somehow another ash catch shows up. Now I'm left to ponder... what next?

Sorry to hear about the curse! I hope this one lives a long and healthy life. I actually saw on the net something just like this with glass Corona bottle, but it isn't near as cool as the one you have. And plus the vodka tasted great! Well here is the pic i found of the Corona. You should make the next one with 3 bottles and fill each one with ice or water or something so when the smoke finally gets to you its a cool fat rip

See I havent had any problems with mine breaking or anything since I made it about a year ago.

But my plan has always been a glass on glass stem setup, with a diffuser, but I intend on cutting a slot at the top of the main downstem, so that when you suck in the smoke after pulling out the slide, you dont have to pull the air through the entire downstem and the water, its just a straight suction. Its not a large slot, just a small one, and the slide from the bowl would go past it enough when the bowl is in the downstem to prevent any loss of suction when pulling a hit.

I want to do this because currently mine is a frankenstien, and has a single long metal downstem that you pull entirely out to pull your hit, and I really enjoy not having to pull through the water to get the smoke.
