My parents never caught me, I straight out told them. My sister got caught, so I decided if I talked to them about it and what it is, they would understand.

Other then that, it depends on who is catching me. I would probably just tell them I choose it because it is safer then alcohol and doesn't leave you hungover the next day. Not to mention it doesn't make you do stupid shit, just forget shit.
