if i can remember to charge the camera when i get home then i'll hit everyone up with some recent pics...my plant is finally recovering from the high heat problems...i'm really hoping the uvb light i added will frost this girlie up...also i'm trying to lower the temps quite a bit at night since this strain has a tendency to turn blood red in colder winter temps. This means sleeping with the window open during this unpredictable tennessee weather. i'm really hoping to have nugs that are as gorgeous as they are strong....anyways stay tuned for updates

here are the girls today...i'm hoping to harvest in about a month...give or take...i'd really like some home grown for 420...so that will allow a dry and atleast a week & a half cure.... as you can see in the pictures i still have some leaf curl from the high heat issues...anyways ill let you guys tell me what you think of her so far...pic one is just a random shot of halfway up the plant...just high and decided to take a picture...pic two is a shot of the whole plant...i know its small...i was originally flowering this in a small cabinet...now i'm using a closet so i have the room now....pic three is a shot of the very top of the plant...zoom in if you can ...its pretty sweet...my computer lets me zoom in really far...i'm not sure how much it will let you guys zoom in...pic 4 is the very bottom of the plant starting to flower....i really wish she looked healthy...my summer grow was super healthy but since the heat issues i havent been able to make her be a pretty lady again...but hey i'm going for her inner beauty anyway

i have yet to hear of anyone who has had a mazar i sharif purple up during flower...my nighttime temps only average about 7 degrees less than my daytime temps...and i know it cant be nitrogen toxicity because I haven't fed them in over a week and a half...i know purple doesnt mean anything but they sure turn eyes...i did have a better pic a few days ago...but i deleted it...damn paranoia...anyways...enjoy my humble picture for your enjoyment

Thanks for sharing. It isn't too easy to find much info on this strain. I am quite interested in it lately.

The Mazar-I-Sharif aka Aghanica Satanica , is a classic strain, heavy indica and great for hash making, highly recommend it for all INDICA lovers. Currently messing with this other strain from the MazarIShariff region in Aghanistan, called The Original Kush not OG KUSH or nowhere near the same, The Original Kush comes from the same region as the MIS, but is a KUSH and relatively newer, still heavy indica though and turns Purple, Blue, Red, Brown when flowering in cool climate, the internode action on this strain is heavily stacked, recommended for sleep and also a good hash producer...look out 4 it.

    Mazar-i-Sharif

Genetics: Traditional North Afghan charas cultivar
    Type: Traditional landrace/pure-bred
    Variety: Indica Giant
Height: 3-4 meters in natural outdoor environment in Mazar-i-Sharif.
Yield: 1.5 to 2 kg of dried flowers in natural outdoor environment
Aroma: pungent, intense terpene aroma, classic Afghan, with some sweetness
Harvest: early December to early January
Characteristics: Unusually large indica strain with classic wide leaved characteristics.

Grown around the desert towns of Balkh, Mazar-i-Sharif and Sheberghan in the far north of Afghanistan, close to the modern borders of Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. This Mazar-i-Sharif strain produces the legendary hashish known as "Shirak-i-Mazar" and "Milk of Mazar". The people of these regions are a patchwork of Turkic, Tajik, Afghan and Pashtun tribes, and the history of Mazar-i-Sharif strains is likely to be equally complex. In fertile and well-irrigated soils these vigorous giants are capable of reaching 4 metres in height or more, and will produce a similarly immense yield of intensely resinous flowers. Traditionally harvested in the first half of December with the onset of the brutal Central Asian winter, Mazar-i-Sharif plants will enjoy cold conditions, including snow, and will turn a deep blood red in low temperatures. Growers favour leaving harvest as late as possible, sometimes into early January. Sieved "Milk of Mazar" garda is very resinous and so can be hand-pressed to make charas; it has a distinctively pungent, sweet aroma and a dreamily mellow high. Over-indulgence produces a mind-warping, immobilising and narcotic effect.

Found this at seedsman dot com/en/cannabis-seeds/the-real-seed-company/12-seeds/mazar-i-sharif-12-seeds. the plant sounds very interesting but the grow room might be a bit too small.
