Curling leafs
Or, it could be a 'purple' strain...which means the purpling is perfectly normal. The purple usually expresses itself when temps drop a tad. (like sugar maples changing colors during the fall)

I never ph my soil, but it's a pretty consistent organic brand. (Dr. Q's Filthy Rich) I use a ph pen to check my run-off ph on a (somewhat) weekly basis, tho.
