Yeah - You gotto love the White Rhino high... Like I said - It was by far (!) the very best high I have ever (!) experienced - Absolutely incredible...! (You can see, I really was planing on growing these myself.... :jointsmile

Well, I wanted to take some pictures for you, but as the plants are still looking fairly shitty I figured I'd wait a couple more days.

Overall, situation seems to be improving and the have tolerated the 125% nutes well. Some leaves are starting to go from the yellow -> green and overall growing speed has definetly improved.

What's really quiet weird is that the Canna instructions vary between the bottle instructions and even the individual country grow guides, published on their website - UK seems to have the most comprehensive instructions, including the different feeding regiments.

I have been thinking about when to switch to the flores nutes, but as the UK Canna website suggests to continue to feed the Vega nutes throughout the complete stretch, I guess I'll stick to that.

If you have any concerns, I would fill out the troubleshooting form in the plant problems section. You can get some different opinions, and usually one of the experts will show up and guide you a little better. I had the Trainwreck from Greenhouse and I remember mine was noticeably larger. Better to fix any problems before you switch the lights.:thumbsup:

I didn't even know that you could submit a form in the plant problems section - Thanks for telling me. Luckily, the mystery has come to an end, as it was simple matter of more or less severe under- fertilization.

That was my problem when I first started - I had no experience with this soil, nor anbody who I could ask. However, now plants are starting to look up and are growing again very nicely.

Truly hope that they will make a strong turn around and start looking more like yours. :thumbsup:

Yep the bottles say to feed vegga till they stop stretching, but I only feed once after I flip the lights, then switch to flores. The plants stretch anyway. My theory is that the alteration of the nutes will induce flower formation sooner. This grow they started to show gender on sixth day after flipping - and there were no visible signs of over / under fert. I'm aiming for 90 days seed to weed, and so far this grow is right on track. Seed, + 30 days, flip lights, + 60 days, harvest.

What has impressed me the most about Canna is the plants LOVE this stuff. Even if you over / under feed a little, there is very little sign of plant stress. Seems to me the chemists at Canna have found the perfect combinations to produce top quality, uniform, vibrant plants. Yay for Canna.

Can't wait to see how your plants are doing, now that they have gone through puberty.

I've been using 10mL/gal BioCanna Vega and 5ml/Gal of Canna Rhizotonic with great results so far this summer

You can also water (slowly) ~1 gal of water + nutes to a 5 gal pot that is well ventilated. I drilled extra holes in mine (Ocean Forest mix with hydrocorals in the last 3" of the bottom.
