now for a real answer. i was right, it is a small type of moth and will NOT do anything to your plants. moths are attracted to light, hence your grow lab is the perfect place for it to hang around. also a fun fact, moths hate cold surfaces. thats why they mostly land on clothing or other objects that dont retain any extreme cold/hot tempature. living* plant organisms are one such object.

    hope this helps.

a moth is one of the worst things you can find ... moths lay eggs, which turn into caterpillars, which eat your plants ... lose the moths :smokin:

uh, don't use insect repellant on plants. They will die if treated with off! or something similar. Not good for smoking either. Get a sticky strip.

But that is definitely a moth! The variety of moth is what is important.

Reaper, you are half right, most moth larvae eat plants, but there are exceptions- "Pantry moth" larvae are grain eaters. "Pantry moths" are common and will not harm your plants at all- they will invade your crackers, cereals, flour, etc. Do you see them in the kitchen, too? There are pheromone (non-poisonous) traps for them. Cost about $5 and ACE hardware just had them on sale. Don't know if they will work on your moths or not, but worth a try.

Then there are "clothes moths"- they eat wool. Check your wool sweaters for holes. They also are harmless to plants, but ruin your wardrobe. Cedar chips hung in the closet will drive them away (that's why your grandma had a big cedar chest to store woolens in- it wasn't that it just smelled nice!). Walmart had them last time I checked.

Hopefully, your moths are not a plant eating variety, but I'd keep a very close eye :wtf: on my plants for tiny holes in the leaves, anyway!

And that is your entomology lesson for today! lol
