It shouldn't make your bill too high, its only about 200 watts for 8 cfls. See if you can buy a fixture that holds 4 bulbs, you can pick them up for like 8 bucks at home depot.

Kind of like that only you can get one that is much cheaper. You can put y- sockets in each of the bulb holders and you can have 8 cfls running from one power cord.

4 lights would be better, but for your 3.75 square foot space, it would only get you about 2000 lumens/square foot. You can definitely grow some dank weed under this light power, but your plants will thank you if you add more lights.

The electricity bill shouldn't be affected too much. 8 x 26 watt cfls = 208 watts x 18 hours per day = 3.744 kWh per day x .20 per kWh (not sure what the rates are in Hawaii so I guessed high) = .75 cents per day to run.
