    Cops?

Hey everyone. I am new here and I am just about to start my first grow room. Someone suggested to me a while ago that I should grow tomatos or another legal crop and call the police and act like a suspicious neighbor. They would come out and see that there is no illegal plants and possibley not respond to future calls that are authentic. That is the theory anyways. This may raise future suspicion though. Is this a waste of time or a decent idea? No one else is going to know about my room, but I guess I am just paranoid about bringing everything in and setting up. Any input is appreciated.

lol sounds like a killer prank but idk if it would seriously deter future calls from being relevant but couldnt it really hurt. could it?? wat phone would u call from as the police have supper caller ID so i dont think even blocking your phone number would work. use a throw away cell mayb. clean your house out real good of any parephanelia and weed cause they may do a full search. it would be funny as hell to raise hell with the cops when they find your indo tomato plants lol. god that would be great. this is prbly illegal tho well it definently is so be careful. u got some balls if you do that. post back if u do doit. peace

I'm guesing they would have to get a warrant to come search your house. If you do call the cops and be like "Hey. my neighbor is growing weed.", they will more than likely kick your door down, shoot your dog, eat the rest of your donuts, and confiscate your lights and equipment and probably accidently shoot you in the ass.(Happened to this guy's gf, when he got raided. Swear to God.)

On the other hand, keep it safe, keep it clean, and don't even get a speeding ticket and fly under the radar you should be ok. And whenever you meet a cop face to face, ask him how it is going, crack a joke, be friendly, go to town meetings, act like you care and be an upstanding citizen, they won't think twice.

Police need probable cause to come into your home.. don't give them probable cause and they won't need to come in.

My advice; keep your mouth shut, don't tell anyone you grow, keep all smells/scents hidden and be friendly with your neighbors to make yourself seem like a regular guy.

Do not call the cops on yourself... it is a waste of time and a hassle. Keep your nose clean and remember appearances are everything.

Do you live in a house or an apartment? Are you renting or a home owner?

Thanks everyone. I own a home daihashi. I think I may just keep quite. I have another question though. I am ordering a considerable amount of my equipment off of ebay. I am only 19 and a paper trail of about $1,600 of indoor gardening supplies may look shady. I have heard that banks and vendors can sell your transaction history to just about anyone. Is this true? I could order everything in my grandfather's name and just give him the money. He would be cool with that because he is completely oblivious to what I am doing. He is 82 and him buying growing supplies may not look so bad. How should I go about ordering everything? Also, is FLIR something I should worry about?

Don't buy off ebay; I believe they have been known to report buying of equipment to the feds.

Buy from an online vendor or better yet your local hydro shop. Pay in cash or money order only if you're concerned about a paper trail.
