Clones can be taken at anytime of the day...during any stage of the plants growth.

Root tone works ok..... I use dip-n-grow and put the clones right into dirt, then into a seed germinator with a dome

If you went straight into bud cycle after rooting you will end up with a small plant

If you let your plant go into flower and then take a small bud as a start.... you will want to change the light cycle back to 18-24 a day..... after rooting, the bud will start to grow branches out of it.....I believe this is call jumping a generation...this entire process takes about 4-6 weeks
