That set-up sounds friggin awesome! I noticed Lowes/Home depot caries a 300w equiv cfl, a pair would work ok I think. I personally have only used them to root clones but there are lots of guys on here that seemed to have had good luck bud'n with them. As far as the smell, activated carbon is your best bet and sounds like the elf is right up your alley. The climate and odor control is prob the biggest challenge you'll face because you'll need a fan strong enough to push/pull enough volume of air through the filter and able to pull enough air through a passive air intake without back drafting outside the box. Even if you use a fan on intake air, the exhaust fan will need to be strong enough to move more air through the filter than intake fan pushes free-flow unless you incorporate a backdraft flap on intake port. The optimum situation is to be able to flow the air straight outside the house/apt. I would also invest in some kind of climate controller, you may not need one but it's nice to be able to control temp and humidity. I use a hydrofarm deluxe climate controller..works great. One other thing I would consider is ease of access to the plant. I assume you'll be using dirt so will you have the privacy to remove plants to water in a sink? Otherwise you'll need to deal with run-off, run a drain hose from a tray maybe. You might also consider noise too, the tiny 2in fans are loud enough but i'm sure you'll need at least the larger 3.5in computer fans that I use on my cabinet and they are noisy......all I can think of 4 now, good luck and let us know how it goes and if more ??? good luck bro
