Clean for a week, just got the job, waiting on drug test

Well first off let me say that this website is extreamly awesome and it brings me hope for my future...

The backstory
Last year after heavy smoking I failed a drug test after 18 days. I did everything wrong for that test. I didn't try to dilute, gave the testing site my first void of the day, and completed failed the test. I would like to think that I have a bit more wisdom but would love to hear what other members here think.

The current situation
I have been hired at a major drug chain as a pharmacy tech and will have a drug test within the next two weeks (I'm waiting for the phone call). I have not smoked anything for 7 to 8 days. I am 6 feet about 170 lbs. with fast metabolism. Before I stopped smoking 7 to 8 days ago I was smoking maybe a bowl or two a day but not everyday, more like every other day. I have been doing this with maybe a 3 or 4 day gap since the beginning of November. Before that I was smoking a lot. I would guess somewhere around a half ounce a week (though I usually smoked with at least one other person). I have started to do all the things mentioned in other posts on this site such as exercise and upping my fluid intake (mostly water and gatorade).

My question is what do you think my chances are? I'm assuming this is just a regular drug test and would love to hear anyones imput on this matter. It would help ease this troubled mind. I thinking I should pratice patientce and let this drug chain take their sweet time while I work on getting clean. I'm also wondering if dilution really works?...

Any helpful comments would be awesome and I promise to let everyone know exactly what methods I'm using and if it helped me at all. And of course I will post my results the second I know.

You should read the dilution sticky. Without diluting, chances are you will piss dirty. Obviously there is no way to tell 100%, but in all likelihood you will.

It sounds like we have similar smoking habits and this is my 10th day clean. I'm still fairly sure I'd fail a UA without diluting.

And yes, it does work. It's not a foolproof method, but it can work, especially if you've been clean for a bit.

I personally think you will have a great chance with dilution.....and YES...YES..YES...it does work. Go read the "results" and "dilution" threads for confidence and take the time to practice at home (I'm sure you have read this before by many) BEFORE the real test.

Well the news is that the company I'm tring to get the job with is taking forever pushing the paperwork. God Bless American laziness!!!! Anywho I just took a crappy $15 dollar at home drug test and got a VERY faint line. I had to get my Mom just to make double sure. It was the thrid void of the day, and I diluted as well. Nothing crazy just gatorade and soda nad what not. It got me thinking this question.

"Just how FAINT is this line suppose to be??????"

I mean I had to really stare at this crappy test to see the line. I'm thinking drug test tomorrow, and I'm wondering if I should retest (well hell I know I'm about to go buy another one). I have heard that any line is a good thing...someone just back me up.

Oh yeah and I've been clean for 24 days now my specs are 5 foot 11, 170 pounds, fast metabolism, and no real fat (though Mom's home cooking has me getting a few pounds on me)

any help would be awesome and I'll let you know when I take the test if I passed or not...

from what ive read on here youll be fine

just know if you piss clear at the testing center they will test it for 15 nanograms isntead of 50 nanograms and you still may fail

take vitamin b if you try to dilute to give your piss a yellow tinge.
