strange anxiety after smoking ?anybody else get this?

hello---old and new smokers..
Im 30 and lately after i smoke my heart sorta feel racey and i get this chest pain,it then leads to me halfass freakout ,where i got to stand up and do something to try to forget about it.
The part that bothers me the most is this strange feeling of forgetting how to breath sorta,,,that really sucks.

I love to smoke and know alot about the effects of unleached fertilizer smoking ,
but lately i just smoke mids and they are always differant so i dont beleive that it is the quality of the smoke.

please tell me im not the only one...

This happens to me but only once in a blue moon. I have athsma though, and sometimes a huge bong rip will make me cough too much and make me wheeze. Luckily cannabis is also a bronchidilator.

Maybe you should take a break man, for a month or so. Just let it all out of your system and start green.

NAH -quiting for awhile only makes it worse..
I only really smoke out of a iced down small bong ,i dont really like smoking out of anything else....

It is weird though ,if a bunch of people are by it doesnt really happen..

I second the quitting for a while

and yes it may seem like it makes it worse but in reality it'll help

maybe consider switching to a vaporizer?

I'm younger than you and I already get problems with breathing so I switched to a vaporizer

i get that way sometimes...you get so high you kind awish you wasnt high anymore!

i notice it only happens if i smoke too much of a really GOOD strain. the shitty stuff doent effect me this way, only the lighter colored sweeter smelling weed.

the only way to keep this from happening is by not smoking too much.
start with a bowl or 2 and wait a few minutes to see how strong it kicks in...chances are you might not need another hit.

this happens a lot too when you kinda stop toking a while and then go back. i didnt have any smoke for like a month then last weekend i got some and i was doing fruit loops. loooooooooool:hippy:

I know exactly what you're talking about. I'm not sure what causes it, but it certainly is unsettling. I pretty much gave up smoking because of it. There's no sense in smoking if it makes you feel like you're about to croak. I can tell you that it gets worse with age. It happened to me maybe one out of 100 times when I was 18...now that I'm 40, it's more like three out of ten.

What seems to help when it happens to me is Zantac 75, believe it or not. I have GERD and I think smoking aggravates it.

funny thing is when i take antacid or drink milk it does seem to make me feel better.But its like my anxiety is telling me something is wrong ,but my self is telling me that it is acid reflux...weird.

Im not sure if this has something to do with it but ,i have been solely smoking out of a smaller 10 inch high glass bong packed with ice for about 1 year ,sure when im at a friends hose or something ill smoke other ways but perty much im a bong guy ...
Im wondering if i should switch it up ,i wont go back to vaporizers im old school , got rid of my volcano 2years ago simply because its just a lot of work and that kinda high doesnt excite me anymore.I blew a whole bunch blood vessels in my eyes with that damn volcano ,lol

i wonder if there is any thing new in the ice usage peices?

Heh...sounds like you and I have the same problem, then. I have had my heart checked out with stress tests and sonograms and I'm in good shape there. If for nothing else, it might give you some peace of mind to get a good check up.

Well, I've never tried the vaporizer for smoking herb, but I did have one that I used for nicotine addicion. That thing was awful. Made me wheeze and choke worse than the cigarettes, LOL. Personally speaking, when I choose to partake, (and it is less and less all the time) then I prefer the good old hand-rolled cigarette.

I haven't really considered whether the delivery system might have something to do with the anxiety/palpatation/chest-pain problem but it is a possibility I guess. After I got the clean bill of health for the old ticker, then I chalked it up to my GERD and esophageal erosion. If you have open sores in the esophagus like I do, then smoking anything will irritate it.

yea i had a full crazy check up when i started my job ,they made me squat and walk with my hands above my head ,made me run a tread mill with like 7 meter things on my chest __it was crazy and like 2 hors long ...i passed it very well actually the lady said that that i did very well .
Im about 6 foot 3 295 pounds ,but i just have a belly not big legs or ankles. lol
I played sports my whole life and i am still a professional disc golfer so i feel a bit healthy ...its just weird this stupid shit only happens when i smoke..

its been happening a bit more now tht i live in florida ,the smoke here is perty bad and expensive...
been making me wonder .

and dude -i have to tell you it makes me feel a bit better knowing there is someone else with some of the same symptoms...
