Grow up or blow up
This is a message I am trying to spread across the internet. It is not hippie propaganda, it is not communism or socialism or any other bs name you can give it. It is the mindset that is the only salvation for the human race and our planet. Spread the word if you can, if not just don't troll. Thank you.
The world's collective mind is in the wrong places.
Instead of pretending war is natural and necessary to our survival (aka we're the good guys and others must die so we can live),
let's figure out other ways to solving problems. We can no longer turn our backs on humanity. We can no longer turn our backs on each other as human beings. We all inhabit the same earth, we all live under the same sun, moon, and stars. We all deserve equal rights and equal resources.
Hundreds of thousands of people die every day due to starvation, lack of shelter, preventable diseases, war, and other forms of violence. How can we let people starve when we have the resources to feed and shelter them right here on the earth??? This must not be allowed to go on any further, or the future of our world is very grim. The world ending in a nuclear war is a very possible thing.
Instead of supporting systems, like our economy, like our government, that are based on the idea of competition- running races and putting
each other down- taking advantage of others for profit- systems that create greed and corruption without fail- Let's create a system that encourages teamwork, rewards working together, leaves less people behind.
Our potential is endless. We are equipped with the most powerful tool in the universe, as far as we are concerned: the human mind, with
the un-ending ability to create. So let's GROW UP. Stop fighting with each other and work together. We could be so much more advanced technologically
than we are now. We could have the cure for cancer by now. If only we spent our time in those categories rather than fighting pointless wars and promoting false patriotism for a lost cause.
Patriotism is the same thing as blind submission. Having pride in a country that causes most of the violent conflicts in the world is not something I would be particularly proud of.
War is not natural. Violence and crime are not natural. Humans can exist peacefully if we just try. Stop telling yourself there will always be crime and war and violence and greed because there does not have to be.
It's time to move past the divisionary elements, the competition, the fighting, the greed and the powerful corrupt men ruling the world. We must outgrow these systems or I fear the worst for our world.
Please wake up. Spread this message. Help save the world.illwillbyah Reviewed by illwillbyah on . Grow up or blow up This is a message I am trying to spread across the internet. look at all the peace advocates, all the way back to the thinkers.. socrates to the kennedies.. to the advocates in the iraq iran wars goin on now, and how they've all been persecuted, executed, and assasinated.. what is good without evil.. there must be an evil to constitute that as good..
a person is their own worst judge and their own worst enemy..
when we stand united- whether in a group, a faction, a village, town, city, state, region, nation.. we act in unison to 1 collective body, a concept on which business 'entities' are based (not solely)..
for this we go to war with another person, groups go to war with other groups, gangs against gangs, cities on cities, states, nations against nations..
we know what we have to do.. we just have this natural inclination to IGNORE it.. and do what we WANT to do..
you can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink
and at the same token, noone wants to be caught throwin the eraser at the teacher at the end of the day..

Why would anyone call you a communist or a socialist? Your just speaking your mind. It just comes across as whiny and naive, but everyone deserves their opinons.:rasta:

It's an idealists dream but unfortunately it does not take into account the natural and very primal urges that have driven mankind to become the worlds top predator.
All you say has a sense to it , the fact is that such concepts as "many hands make light work" and "two heads are better than one" are generaly true.
The problem is that we are very tribal.
Whichever way someone wishes to follow there will always be those who wish to walk a completely different path.

Have you ever really thought about nature, illwill? When a squirrel steals an acorn from another, there is no moral judgement. When a hawk later eats that squirrel, there is no moral judgements. We are human, we are given the 'greatest gift in the universe,' and yet - how did we become what we are?
Evolution, survival of the fittest, whatever you want to call it - this is how we evolved to become the most dominant and intelligent species on the planet. Yes, that's right, all along our evolutionary pathways we outcompeted every other organism, and those not fit to survive were left to die. Maybe nature is like this for a reason - because it works . Competition is very, very natural my friend, and without it not only would we not have this 'great gift,' the human mind, but without it civilization would not exist. For us to evolve as people as well as organisms, the weak must fall and the more adequately suited must prevail, in my opinion.
Let's take business, an easy example: I love starbucks. It's delicious, and despite all the 'mood' or whatever else it has, that is the only reason I like it. Let's say a shitty coffee shop opens up next to starbucks in my neighborhood - it tastes bad, bottom line. If we were to live under your ultimate salvation plan, I should support the shitty coffee shop just as much as starbucks, because everyone would deserve equal resources.
The fact is, yes there are some resources on our planet, but it is my belief that noone 'deserves' anything. Do not get me wrong, I very much support spreading wealth to areas of the world that have none, but competition IS nature. We don't have to kill each other to compete (although we do anyway), but to share everything without identity, that is to me just an anarchist's pipe dream. Patriotism is wrong? Well, we might as well go the whole nine yards then and say having friends is wrong - by having a friend, you therefore support every bad thing they've ever done or said, by this philosophy.
I'm sorry if I come off as condescending - I'm all for peace and equality - but what you've done here is taken those two terms and tried to define humanity by them, and that is something I just don't think you can do. Maybe there's a reason capitalism is becoming so popular.
The bottom line is, competition is the way the world works - by telling us to spread the word, you're telling us to compete your philosophy against other people's, and you're telling us to accept your philosophy and reject others'. If you want to make the world better, go volunteer digging clean wells in Africa or start a soup kitchen for the homeless - that will make a whole lot more of a difference by your philosophy than a post on cannabis.com (no offence, fellow canncom'ers).

Its hard not to be cynical when talking about an eutopian society. It would be nice if people could just get along, that we didn't covet what someone else has. But the truth is the ones that covet tend to rise to power more than the ones who wish to live an ethical life. Even if you were to rid the world of a monetary system there would still be more people who would find ways to exert there control over the less fortunate.
I wish it wasn't so but it seems to be part of our evolution.
