I raised the light to 3 feet from the plants. Hopefully that helps. I headed out to my grow shop and picked up some pH Down so next time I water them I will be using water with a lower pH.
I talked to the guy at my grow shop about my problem with this one plant. He said that he uses a 600 Watt lamp throughout his entire grow and never has once had a problem. While I was there I looked at a T5 light but I don't have the money to buy that right now. Maybe for my next grow.
This being my first grow, I'm keeping everything small. That is why I am only growing 2 plants. I have been following stinkattic's "simple noob instructions" almost to the letter (except for the light on seedlings).
Thanks for all the advice so far.

I bought a couple 4ft dual bulb shop lights from home hardware for 15 bucks a piece, a whole box of bulbs for 15 bucks. They are perfect to start seeds.

You can run them within inches of seedlings and clones and they eat less than a tenth of what beeg HPS eats.
Turn off the 600, brah.
Save it for flowering.

Thanks. I have been looking for some cheap shop lights right now. Only the one plant died on me. The other plant is doing great. Just grew a new node today.
That is the thing that got me confused. One plant is doing great and the other plant has up and died. I have treated these plants the same but one curled up and died and the other thrived.
