Do ashes offer any useful nutrients?

pH is way too high. I have a wood stove and looked into using ashes, it's a pain and unpredicable because the feul is usually a variety of sources that you can't accurately predict the nutrients of.

    Wood ashes NPK is 0-1.5-7

Water soluble. Very alkaline except with acid wood such as walnut.

    Hope this answers your question.
