The way that most esspresso makers work is by passing hot water through crushed beans.

However, if your bean grind is too fine or too corse, then the water is going to gush out, Water being lazy and follows the path of least resistance, it passes through the beans without allowing them to release their coffee goodness.

Pot cannot be made into a coffee in the way you want it to, for that reason. Plus the pot wouldnt release its pot-osity due to the plants celluar make up.

If you wanted it as a drink, I beleive you would have to go with a milky tea..or use an extract like you would a coffee syrup
