Have toking rates really gone down?

The Drug Czar and his minions are fond of always saying that pot-smoking among youth and people in general has dropped considerably since their noble efforts have been in full force, but then I hear other things, that their idiocy is counter-productive to their goal....which is true?

My god, I really hope they're not succeeding in cutting toking rates. That would just be depressing. I hope it's just more of their propaganda so people don't start questioning their free and easy ways with tax dollars.

Its not like people can always be honest about their smoking habits because of its legal status...

A lot of the people I know smoke, but they still believe some of the propaganda about how bad it is for you... If my bigger sister hadnt showed me the real side of things Im not even sure I would have taken the plunge.

I thnk we are just getting better at hiding it from them, like when you used to hide stuff from your parents. You get better at it the older you get.

    Think of it this way

Imagine a scene on a street near you

    THE MAN

    MAN IN BUSINESS SUIT
Me sir ? No sir ?
(thinks to himself) "Yes I do, but like fuck am I telling you that"

Most of the tokers I associate are engineers or mid-level IT professionals and a few are ex-military. Personally I think toking rates are going down for teenagers but going up for adults.

Of course, just like in the '30s it contributed to satanic music and blacks not knowing their place, and in the '60s it was a communist plot to instill pacifism in the people. Pretty soon it'll be a great source of overseas revenue for the Iranian government, I'm sure.

All you guys' arguments make sense....yeah, of course we're not dropping. Toke on!
