I've fucked around with coco perlite and peat a bit. pH is usually stabile right where you want it unless you don't transplant and force your plants to stay in small pots, then I find the soil gets rancid and the pH fucks everything up. But if you transplant and flush when your plants need it it's all you need. I just use it strait out of thew bag, never reuse it though. A bail will last you all year for $25 where as small walmart bags will make you throw away $100's a year.
Chronic Chrissy Reviewed by Chronic Chrissy on . most popular canadian soil? question for the canadians, which soil do you use and have good success? I have tried many different soils and 95% of the soils in the stores are very peaty and others too hot. The only soil i have had success with is c.i.l seed starting mix (which is also very high in peat moss) so please let me know what soil gives you the least trouble. For those of you who are a fan of sunshine mix no.4 I probably wont be getting that either because it only comes in huge bails which i would have no place Rating: 5
