how to use mason jars?

so I finally got a mason jar

When using them, do I have to vacuum seal them or can I just put the cap on and twist on the lid?

If you are using for weed storage, just place weed in put on lid and screw down. Open 15 minutes three times daily to let "air", if you are curing. Must let out air daily or weed will get wet again and mold.

So the seal is good enough without the vacuum sealer? If it's all well cured do I still need to open the lid everyday? Or can I just keep it closed for months?

if already cured, you may leave it 'closed for months', however, I would still open it from time to time, just to guard against any unwanted moisture, condensation, etc. ... as the cannabis cures, the chlorophyll converts to a gas (I forget the name of the gas), and needs to be evacuated ... :smokin:
