Another Exhaust ?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey everyone....this is my first post so hopefully I'm in the right place for this post..
The question is: I have built myself a stealthy little cabinet grow box with dimensions of 3'x3'x4.5'height, I am using five 105 watt CFL (two 30k, two 65k, and one 50k Spirl bulbs), and need it to be completly odor proof. I have ordered, and should be recieving soon, two mini 28 cfm squirrel cage blowers that I plan on hooking both to a homemade Carbon scrubber. So.......the question is WILL these two squirrel cage blowers sucking air out through a filter be enough exhaust for my setup? And if so, how big should I make the intakes......if not how do I mask the exhaust smell if I end up throwing in a couple more PC fans.....and one more thing, what is good way to keep dust, debri, mites and other undesirables from getting in through the intakes?
Any suggestions would be extremely apprcieated thanxssonofabishh Reviewed by sonofabishh on . Another Exhaust ?
slower cfm speeds going over the scrubber is better in my eyes. slower movement= better scrubbing
thats alot of wattage for cfls and should produce a good amount of heat. for passive intakes try for around 2x the size of exhaust. if your running 4" exhaust try for 6-8" of intake
i like window screen on my intakes

Another Exhaust ?
Aaaaaah yes.....window screens.....of course.
That should work fine...i've been exprementing with A/C and engine air filters, and coffe filters....but these seem to inhibit air flow..
Thanks for the advice. The fans I think should be ok, but I guess If i start experiencing any to much heat I can just through in another fan.
thanks bro.

Window screen will not trap any dust or lint, get a cut your own house filter kit Lowes/Hdepot and a louvered vent cover. The filter kit comes with a carbon sheet and a lint/dust batting sheet. The larger the louver the better the airflow. Cut the sheets a tad larger than the cover and screw it to the cab over the sheets. Very easy to change, flows good air and catches fine dust and lint. 10 mins

pantyhose will work in a pinch for a screen but cleaning would be needed on regular basis depending on what else is around in the house. Meaning dog or cat hair and such
