Cannakeeper...what if your budget is a shovel and do it your self concrete block interior walls. How to roof it then? thanks.

Unfortunatly pimp shit is not cheap but for this it would be worth the investment for what it would yeild. There is no other real safe way to do it aside from steel beams and roof deck which is also expensive. Could maybe do it for 5k and easily pay for it in 4-5 mos. If I had the place to do it I would pull the finances from somewhere even if I had to sell my stang. I could buy a nicer one the following year and be ass-out ripped while I wait. Also, careful of too much "back work", too much of that recently got me a spine surgery

I would looooooooooooooooooove to grow in my basement but I have probs with temp. 60 F in summer.

I got to work on the area that the grow area is going to be. Laid holed red brick on the earth to raise the bed off the dirt for temp reasons, and to allow the run off that does come into the earth area to still be able to run off without hurting anything I build in there. I will be laying plastic back over the exposed earth over the brick and all the other exposed areas. I need to get some more lumber to get it finished then move the babies into it....

What kind of mustang do you have Cannakeeper? I think dozers and contractors might not be too stealth......

89' coupe ground pounder and a drag car just like it. Rent the track-hoe... takes bout 10 mins to learn to use it. and as far as any eyes..not unheard of to work on a drain or septic system or.....It is a huge undertaking without the rescources to DIY. Allowing anyone else to know is risky but there is always small gro possibilities til you can upgrade.

You can get some quickcrete bags and spread it dry over wetened ground, mist with a hose, smooth with trowel and the next day you have a concrete floor. Not strong enough for floor supports and that kind of shit but 3/4 inch you wont know it's not 4". With open earth inside i've been told radon is a possibility but not sure how much truth there is to that. If anything a smooth floor that can be painted and then washed is such an awesome benefit.

the original idea was to dig out a lowered bed and add our soil mix to the hole and grow in it.... but after seeing all the moisture, I chucked that idea fast....
Never gave any consideration to radon... something to think about....
