CFL LIGHT QUESTION
but in the scenario i proposed you would use 1 in conjunction with your regular light set-up to add more of the spectrum of light for the stage of growth, blue for veg and red for budding

CFL LIGHT QUESTION
I have used the colored lights you are talking about. I tried the blue ones for veg. I was using three blue bulbs and 1 white cfl. The plant was very short, and obviously wasn't getting enough light. The blue cfl's were 23w, while the white was 43w. The colored bulbs aren't as bright,(even compared to a 23w white cfl.) and produce more heat. I found negative results, maybe i just needed more blue CFL's, but why go that route when white CFl's work better.
