    Bloody hell, all freaky answers within this thread aside, don't cut those fan leaves. As stinkyattic once eloquently put it - trimming/removing fan leaves is like taking the engine out of a car to make it lighter and faster. Tuck them under if they are being light hogs or simply let nature take its course. Marijuana doesn't need a lot of interference from us.
