Spacing between nodes?

Hey everyone! I just have a random question. I'm starting my FIRST indoor grow. I used to do large outdoor grows, and I always had close to an inch...inch and a quarter between nodes. I'm about 20 days into my first indoor grow and I'm noticing that each node is only like a half inch(maybe less) apart. All my plants are all at 6-8 nodes, and about 4-6 inchs tall.

Basically what I'm trying to ask here is, is this shorter distance between nodes better?

I don't plan on flowering for another 20-22 days. I just wanna make sure I'm not gonna be left with steamy bud because of this. Like I said I've NEVER grown indoors before. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

what kind of lights are you using? It could be genetics, I would see it as good thing though.
