Question to the experienced
Hey guys,...new to posting on this site,..but i've been putting around on this site for a long time. Finally started growing my own crop. So heres the deal.
I have three plans...all of them about almost 4 weeks old from planting them. I have transplanted them into their bigger pots a week ago. This is a flouro set up. Running 2 40watt cool whites on the saplings now. Plan on running another 2 40 watt ballast and maybe a couple CF's as well.
My questions are:
Is a 2 1/2 gallon bucket big enough for these plants?? because thats what they are in. When i took them out of the solo cups i started them in, the roots were everywhere, was deffinatly time for a transplant.
I have a closet set up. completley emtied out painted white. Does that sound like enough lighting to take me through a harvest??
The plants are about 8 inches tall with 4 or 5 sets of nodes comming out with the 7 leaf jobs. Am i comming close to turning them into a 12/12? when you think i should??
okay guys any input would be great. Oh yeah i know what your gonna say...."Get a HPS" get a "MH" i know i know. Maybe on my next crop. This is my first ya know, and i must say i am very excited for "my kids"HerbPuffer242 Reviewed by HerbPuffer242 on . wow 8" tall you must want to grow some little plants. all a few more lights and you should be fine. Make sure you have a fan moving air around them. I assume you don't want to much finished crop so good luck.

bspectral. Nice set up you got there. How large of a pot do you have those plants in? You think a 2 1/2 bucket is good enough??? I'm going to get another shop light set right now. The home depot has bulbs that are called "day light" the spectrum is 6500K is that what i want for flowering?? Can i combine these with the 2 cool whites for vegging too??
thanks

Question to the experienced
8 inches is a good height to flower at for a smaller plant, you will get a plant around 2 feet tall and can easily yield 2 ounces if grown correctly
