I've been smoking for nearly two dozen years, mostly to curb the effects of chronic tinnitus (ringing in the ears) long enough to fall asleep at night. My finace is okay with this, but would prefer I pursue MMJ. At her urging, I'm seeking advice on how I might go about that here in Seattle. This is a pretty tolerant city, so I imagine it's possible... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the quick response. Since having posted, I've tried other searches that have led me to Green Cross and THCF. Green Cross doen't provide much info to speak of. THCF requires three years of medical history pertaining to your condition. I don't have that as I've never seen a doctor for tinnitus. I know what it is and it is largely untreatable, save for limited success with hypnosis and a newer option where you wear a device for a couple months that reprograms your head (for lack of better description) to stop "hearing" the phantom noise. It is quite expensive and not covered by medical insurance so it is not an option for me. In your opinion, would I run into difficulty with THCF or other doctors I might approach for lack of this medical history??

At THCF you'll probably have problems getting authorized. Keep your ears open for a family practitioner that might be willing to authorize you.

If I were you, first I'd find and ear, nose and throat specialist. And I don't see your condition listed as a qualifying condition under the present law, and neither is hypnotherapy or a hypnotherapist a qualifying person unless they are also an MD. Its not that I doubt that cannabis may help you. Maybe the ringing is caused by some psychological condition. Try seeing a psychiatrist, hey it sounds crazy, but its worth the shot. You need a history or a sympathetic physician. Good luck.:thumbsup:
