Crime watch

well...i do not mean any racism at all by this post....it is simply to try and find out your opioions....and get a greater understanding myself...

I just watched crime watch and they have a bit in it where they show cctv footage in order to try and catch people that have caused crimes....right....

so i was watching this when it suddenly occured to me that every single person who had comitted a crime on the show tonight was black! Not 1 white person.

So my question is....why?

why does it seem to me that the majority of crimes comitted in the uk are comitted by black people....please dont take this the wrong way i have absolutly nothing against black people...it just what i have come to notice...Is this the case in the states?

I was thinking maybe it was because black people are being discriminated against still...for example not being employed because they are black (which is completly stupid)......and are commiting these crimes to get money for food and clothes etc...But then i look at these people and they are all wearing burberry(sp) and wearing gold chains n shit (which is also completly stupid)...

i was jus wonderin if anyone knew why this was...
im just tryin to find out because we have a VERY low black to white ratio here.....like 1:100...possibly more......so i dont really know....lol

Maybe they show mainly black people and edit out most of the white people.Or maybe they are recording it in an area where there is more black people.Here the statistics do show that aboriginal 1/2 casts have a higher crime rate than white australians.I think it might be right only because of the fact that they seem to have less and be struggling all the time for money so they turn to crime to get things.But also they have a very high heroin usage in comparison so that could be why they commit more crimes so that they can pay for drugs.I hope i didnt sound bad then cause i didnt mean to

I dont think that black people commit more crime, i think thats complete bullshit.. i reckon that TV shows like Cops and stuff actually show more black people than white people, because the majority of the population is white (i think) and thats just want they want to see - theyd rather see a black guy getting thrown down on the floor by six cops.. because then all those corperate white folk can watch that without being scared that the people on the show are in their neighbourhood or whatever.. it would seem more real to them if they showed white guys getting arrested just as much, and it would scare them alot more...

i agree i saw crimewatch and ur right. but i also belive in what i see. but i iant gna go into that.

Watching COPS I have seen about equal amounts of all races represtented. It totally depends on what areas they are covering. COPS Atlanta usually has mostly blacks, in Florida, lots of whites and hispanics, it all depends where the show is filmed.

That depends where you are also. Here in the suburbs of DC, certain areas have all black crime, and others it's hispanic and white crime. Also it seems that the crimes differ. In the local crime reports it looks like most armed robbery and assault are young black males, car theft seems more hispanic, and residential burglaries and theft is white.
