hey here are pictures attached of seed well one i found can i try growing with that one seed and utilities in this post just like trickdaddy450 ??pictures inside of bud and seed pretty intresting if you guys can help me out i am in nyc so its winter here...please dont ignore me peace will wait for some responses .....is your plant trickdaddy450??in a months span of growth????
help want to get started in december ... need utilities ...so i need to take down A shopping list something small indoor just like trickdaddy450 but im worried about light situation timers ?how long will light be on soil something simple i can buy at home depot or flower shops nothing that i have to buy online my credit cards overlimit..so something i can buy in regular store nice little fan like him um but give me a personal list exactly for me and for what i have pictures posted lets see if i can make this work instead of me reading all those wierd bulbs and instructions on your signature for products a small box tent should be ok. yess can someone be friendly and help out post a list for me something that will not go over a certain limit of 200$-300$'s help... want to get started in december few days left this is reason for sighning up for site.....

If you have a closet, just use that. IMO Get a 400 watt MH/HPS switchable ballast and kit from someplace like Discount Hydroponics. That'll give you a light, reflector etc. It will run you around $150. Paint closet white to reflect lite. Don't put all your plants together in one container. It's better to put them in their own pots. Any seed will do, you can get some online or go to Canada. Get one of those oscillating fans to blow on plants to strengthen stems. I don't recommend one of those tents, if you have a closet or room to use. High humidity levels can cause rotting and mold problems. I'd recommend using potting soil mixed with perlite about 3-1 ratio for first grow. Don't fertilize till they need transplanting. Keep transplanting to larger containers. Read stickies on how to set up grow room etc. I ain't no expert. Hope this helps.

I'd prefer using a simple tent not to mess with rooms and space to complicated plus..what's that on ratio?can you explain it in dumb terms ...simple terms I can follow about light and types you put up I will search to see if I can find.want to get this started begining of december.what do you think?

If you are new to germinating look at my thread Gardening by the Moon. Dec 4th good time to germinate seeds. It's in advanced techniques. MH= metal halide light, used for vegatative phase, HPS= high pressure sodium light, used for blooming. Usually need at least 400 watt light bulb for 4x4 ft grow area. I like a ballast you can switch back and forth so you don't have to have a separate system for each lighting phase. Don't know much about grow boxes and tents. Seems like a waste of money if you have a closet or separate room. Makes it easier to grow if u have lots of room. You'll need a separate area to keep mother plants in if that's what u want to do. They have to be left in veg stage forever or they will bloom and die. Don't spend a lot of money on fancy stuff until you kill a few plants. If u got lotsa money, go wild. Most important things are light, light and light. Spend money on good lighting and you will always be able to use it in future grows. 400 watt lights last longer than 1000 watt systems and do not get as hot. The bulbs are like $30 each for 400 watts. Everybody will tell you different things, hydro people like hydro, soil people like soil. Soil more forgiving to amateur mistakes in my opinion. Trickdaddy left you a post in his thread. My advice is to get a grow bible book and read that first. That will answer 98% of questions. You gotta do some of the work yourself, read read read!

Those LED lights are not really accepted as working yet. In other words, stick with tried and true methods, before trying experimental ones, unless you're into that sort of thing.

MH/HPS works fine, try it first. Sun Systems makes good economical lighting I am satisfied with their products.

Spend $30 on a grow bible like Cultivating Indoors by Ed Rosenthal or Jorge Cervantes' book. That is the first thing I'd buy. Now go and read all the help available to you. All your questions have been asked and answered already 500 times and it's all in SEARCH.
