No way you can run a moderate power HPS in the closet you've described without any forced extraction. Yer plants will cook. I have a 2' x 6' x 8' closet and I run a 5" extractor (no carbon filter or silencer), two 12" recirc fans to exercise the girls and keep airflow good, and a 4 inch active intake for fresh Co2 laden air. All this to keep a 1000 watt rig from giving my plants a permanent orange afro. At some point you will have to cut and run.

Like the idea of buying spare doors to cut and then replace them when you move. I did the same. You can't have your cake and eat it. You're either growing or your an angelic tenant. Make your mind up and start having fun.

XSWIDOW Reviewed by XSWIDOW on . no ventilation in closet Searched but couldn't really find anything relevant to my situation... lots of stuff came up. I'm starting a closet grow soon, it's an ok sized closet that I can walk in and lay down in, and it's about 8 or 9 feet high, i dunno. I have a 400 watt hps I plan on using, only problem is the closet has no leaks in it, and I'm afraid it's gonna get really hot in there. Am I going to have to cut a hole in the door or something? Having to open the door every few hours would get annoying. Rating: 5
