Indoor Northern Lights Grow

Hey everyone.. This is my 2nd year grow. This is my first grow with quality seeds. The strain I chose is Northern Lights. I searched some threads on the site to find a good seed bank and found an EXCELLENT site.. So thanks guys!! Cannabis Seeds The Attitude Marijuana Seeds My order also came with 5 free Super Skunk seeds.

I ordered 5 feminized seeds and received them in 7 days. I germinated the seeds and 1 1/2 days later all five sprouted. I am verrrry pleased. Today I planted the sprouts and have them under 24/0 floros. This is going to be a soil grow and I am planning on getting Fox Farms Grow Big, Big Bloom, & Tiger Bloom for ferts. I will keep you all updated with pics throughout the grow! Any input on this strain would be appreciated!! Take is easy and keep on tokin'

I also have a few northern lights plants growing. Im on day 21, and let me tell you.. these plants are AWESOME! I have a couple bubble gum and big bud plants at well, but the NL are out growing them all. I didn't get feminized, but they sure do look like ladies (as far as i can tell without force flowering or covering a node.)

The NL that im growing seem to be able to take whatever comes their way. I had a calcium def early on, and most of the other plants started to yellow and brown but the NL kept right on pluggin away.

From the Cannabible by Jason King: Northern Lights. Quite possibly the most famous marijuana strain in exisistence. NL a clone bred in the Pacific Northwest, is a highly inbred afghani. This classic indica strain was tweaked for over 20 generations before being released to the public, although it never became stable like Skunk #1. The plants grow short and compact, with a giant cola on top. While NL is highly adapted to indoor growing, fantastic outdoor batches also can be grown. Although this strain is incredibly resinous, I (author) usually find the flavor of NL to be a little lacking. The high, on the other hand, is not lacking at all. It is a typical indica high, narcotic and dreamy.

From High Times- Jose Cervantes: Rates NL5 as the third best strain he ever smoked.


NL5 from the CannaBible: NL5 is a crossing of a pure NL male with a NL (75%)/Thai (25%)female. The compact indica strain was bred for vigorous growth, high yield, and strength of high. This variety is incredibly resinous with a pungent sweetness that must be experienced to be believed. The Thai influence, as small as it is, has a wondrous effect on the NL mom. Subtle tones of flavor are noticeable with a longer cure (+3 months). The smoke is incredibly rich, especially for Amsterdam bud. These buds are extraordinary and exotic.

I've heard alot of good things about Fox Farm products. Also thanks for all the info!! I've only smoked NL once and as I recall it was one of the best smokes ever. Today I checked on the Power Skunk seeds( the free ones i got with the NL order) and 3 of those sprouted!! I don't know much about this strain, but let's hope it's killer!!!

Can anyone tell me what you've yield per plantwith NL using a 1000 watt hps? Let me know veg time, soil, ferts ect.thanks!

Ketzlicka, have you tried the Search feature at the top of the page? Put in NL and I am sure you can read a LOT of threads. Are you using NL #5? If so then be sure and put that in the search box. Have fun. You can also try your Power Skunk in search too. Try going to say the indoor growing forum and look there at the stickies. Lots of good info there you want. Hope this helps out.

How is the smell? Is it stong? I've heard some people say that NL might be a good choice for a stealth grow
