I'm all for thinking big, but it might be best to learn how to grow before you start thinking of jumping into a commercial-sized operation.

Is it for ease of access? So it's at waist level?
Or is it looking for something "plug in, put water, and go"?
For all the fanfare we do for our plants, you have to remember it is a weed, after all. So, it will grow.
Go for it!
You can start your plants from seeds, then grow them, harvest them, cure them, and smoke them.
If done from seeds, every time you start again, you'll need to wait for them to mature/grow.
A good option is to have two boxes (or rooms, or chambers).
One for your main grows, and the other one for your mother plant(s).
Having mother plants, will enable you to cut clones off them when you're going to start a new grow.
This vastly cuts down on the time they sprout from seed, mature, and grow. (remember, the clone has the mother plant's age).
The second positive about this way is that you know for sure your clones are female (from seed, you have random chances of getting females or males).
Ultimately, I would say just go for it!
Put some seeds in... go for it. Try it out.
You're going to love it!
Post some more information and we'll be able to help more.
Best,

I would like too suggest 10 plants too start. Dropping 3 grand in too a set up and doing a grow for 4 months, just too find out you cant grow is going to be expensive and timely. Another way to start is to find a mentor some one willing to guide you through the whole process. These sites are great but there are 10,000 people with 10,000 methods, and each time you come back with a new problem you will be getting advice from a different style of grower. Another way to go about it is to find a grower that has consistently great looking plants grow after grow, then read every thing they ever wrote. Then give there method a try, when you have problems ask them questions directly. Look for a med grower if you can, with the plant limits the grow will go a bit differently too make sure you keep with in those numbers.

From seedling, you cannot "flip to bud" at 14 days.
The plants will not be mature enough (yet, go for it and try it if you'd like!).
And 60 days start to finish... only with clones.
