Best Lights

I'm now using a 400 watt hortiux light,& i was thinking off moving up to a 600 watt hortilux,but i've had people say that it's best to use the 2 light bulb system 1 bulb for veggie & other one for flowering?When i 1st tired the inside grow everyone back then swore by the hortilux system because u could do the vegitation & flowering all in one,but for all you expert inside growers which you think is the best?I only have 1 grow on this lighing system & i still haven't used the other bulb that came with it yet lol,so i want to grow more in my space because of it's size so what would you reccomend i don't even mind going up to 1000 watts but i also heard that the 600 was better than them too concidering the power it uses!Thx for any info!!

I have tried used the 600 Hortilux for both veg/flower with ok, not great results...I just bought a Conversion bulb for my sytem off ebay...its a Metal Halide conversion bulb from GrowBright that works on my HPS ballast

The blue/violet spectral range for Hortilux is about 9% of overall output
while the conversion bulb is around 50%
The red/orange range for Hortilux is about 80% and the conversion bulb is almost 50%

In my opinion...The hortilux really isnt designed to do both veg/flower

^ I beg to differ maybe because my thousand is different but ive had great success w/ my veg stage w/ my hps hortilux bulb
