    Will they test me?

Hello everyone. I sought advice here when I received my last job, and it worked out very well for me.

So, here I am once again. I've since been offered a very stable, very high paying job, which is a blessing for any graduating college student in this fucked economy of ours. Naturally I don't want to lose the opportunity because of my little habit.

My question is simple really; is it common or even required for an employer to disclose that my offer is contingent on passing a drug test? Like, in the offer letter itself?

I ask because the letter did specify, in bold, that my offer is "contingent upon the completion of a favorable background investigation". Which is to be expected. But it doesn't mention anything about a drug test anywhere in the 10 page letter, nor was it discussed at any point throughout the interview process, which was very lengthy. I was handed the offer by the partner over breakfast today, and he didn't mention it either.

Is it reasonable to assume I won't be tested? Are they required to notify me immediately?

I guess I could order the fake urine just to be safe, but I'd rather hear some thoughts first.

I apologize for the awkward wording of this post, I can't express myself in writing well while I'm high. :stoned::hippy:

If you could get a copy of there employee manual that would help.
I would still pickup some synthetic urine and be ready just in case.
