Nutrients - A & B type - A little help with these please
Hey all
My plants are 3 weeks into flowering, been going well so far but just the first run and havn't used any nutrients, so decided to try and make them flower abit better by adding some
Just came back from the grow shop and asked for the workers suggestions etc..
Anyway I came back with
some "Aarde" Nutrients, 2 bottles, one says A and one B
The Values on the A & B are..
A - 8-0-11
B - 2-4-10
he also suggested using some Superior Potash (Cannadian Express)
Not sure if these are common nutrients or anything, but my question is should I mix the A&B, or is the A just for Veg stage and the B for the flowering stage?
Any help would be apreciated
Thanks

to me A has funny numbers. I dont see what the point in having such high no nitrogen and potassium with no phosphorus. B is definitely for flowering because of the low nitrogen and high K and rel. high Ph.

You HAVE to go by the instructions on the bottle when using a 2 or 3 part nute, or by the instructions you can find for the Lucas Method, for example!!! Guesswork with multi-part nutes usually leads to dead plants.
Those numbers look more to me like the individual components of a 2-part hydro veg nute than anything else. If you aren't confident that your nutrient is correct for your application, DO NOT USE IT.

Thanks sticky, there are only limited instructions in the bottle
i have found..
A - 1 LITRE OF B TO 200 LITRES OF FEEDWATER
B - 1 LITRE OF B TO 200 LITRES OF FEEDWATER
did a google and found these
When preparing the nutrient container, fill it two-thirds with water. First add Aarde A; circulate well. Then add Aarde B; circulate well. Harmonise the pH-value of the nutrient with pH- (Down) or pH+ (Up). Top up the container with water. Add any root, growth or flowering stimulators. Your nutrient mixture is ready to water.
I think found this picture
http://www.greenvalleygardensupply.c...il-nutrien.jpg,
my nutrient is the top one, so that is probably the chart to use
funny how you say it looks like a veg one though, i did ask him for flowering nutrients
have use only the B only nutrient 1.5ml per ltr for 2 days of watering now so perhaps I shall stop and buy some new nutrients at the weekend, and make sure I get the best & easiest ones to use!
Wadda you think?

Nope. You cannot use only half of an A+B type nutrient. There are significant components missing. A main reason that those types of nutrients are packaged as A+B is that the components would chemically react if the two were mixed without being diluted first.
The instructions for 200L res sure sounds like a commercial hydro nute... and that means that if there is any pH buffer added, it is going to come out at the wrong pH (too acidic) for your soil garden. Assuming you are in soil?

My choices, in order:
Chemical type:
Canna Terra
Botanicare Power Plant/Power Flower
Organic type:
Canna Bio, using the accompanying composted coco medium mmmmmmm *drooool
Botanicare Pure Blend Pro- you may want to also buy a bottle of Canna PK 13/14 to hit them with in flower, according to bottle instructions of course, as the PBP could use a smidge more K by many accounts.
These ferts are all very easy to use and will give solid results. IF you want to get fancy, run a complete cycle with the base ferts, keeping a log book, and then decide after harvest what to add next time- things like a carbohydrate supplement, a bloom booster, or a root stimulator are nice to have when you know your game and want to improve yield, but you need to know HOW to use them and how to read the plant forst.

you cant go wrong with general hydroponics 3 part system even though it sounds like it might confuse you . with additions such ass floralicious kool bloom diamond nectar and I always use advance nutrients vita plus and botanicares liquid karma, but what you need to structure your feeding around is you levels such as you parts per million learn how to consistently read this and know what levels for stage of plant. my regiment consists of me buying the 3 part system in 5 gallon buckets every 6 months, thats alot of food,
